FRISCO, Texas – Northwestern State junior Trecey Rew has been named the Southland Conference women’s track and field athlete of the week, while Southeastern Louisiana senior Adonson Shallow has been named the conference’s men’s track and field athlete of the week, the league office announced Wednesday.

HOUSTON – A pair of Southeastern Louisiana student-athletes claimed event titles at the Houston Indoor Invitational Friday and Saturday at Yeoman Fieldhouse. Adonson Shallow broke his own school record to win the shot put competition, while teammate Faisal Muhammad topped Shallow to take the weight throw championship.

LAKE CHARLES – The Southeastern Louisiana men’s track and field team won the McNeese State Indoor Invite Friday, topping the home standing Cowboys by 48 points. In the women’s division, the Cowgirls captured first place, tallying 22 more points than second place Southeastern.
