HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana men's tennis team's have a pair of non-conference matches scheduled to close out the week.
The Lions (6-7) will look to snap a three-match losing streak on Thursday, when they host in-state rival Southern at 1 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex. On Friday, Southeastern will head to Troy for a 2 p.m. neutral site match versus Troy on the University of South Alabama campus in Mobile, Ala.
In singles play, Southeastern is led by senior
Guillaume Capovin and sophomore
Damien Cordoba. Capovin has posted a team-best 9-4 singles mark playing in the bottom of the singles draw, while Cordoba is 8-5, playing predominantly at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
Junior
Benjamin Enke (7-6), along with sophomores
Julien Roussel (4-3),
Stepan Siska (5-8) and
Alexis Biarneix (3-2) have also seen plenty of singles action for the Lions. Enke and Siska (4-2) comprise Southeastern's top doubles team.
Following this week's action, the Lions will return home next Wednesday to host SLC rival Nicholls State at 2 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
