HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana men's tennis team will close out its 2009 home schedule on Friday, hosting Southland Conference rival UT Arlington at 10 a.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Lions (10-8, 2-2 SLC) will attempt to extend their current four-match win streak and continue its climb up the SLC ladder. UT Arlington heads into Friday's match with a 9-10 overall record and 3-2 in league action.

In singles play, Southeastern senior Guillaume Capovin has won five consecutive singles matches and has a team-best 14-4 singles mark, playing predominantly at the No. 5 position. Capovin is joined by freshmen Damien Cordoba (11-7) and Jan Bezdecka (8-7, 4-0 SLC) to make up a formidable bottom of the Lion singles draw.

Junior Benjamin Enke leads the top half of the singles draw with an 11-7 record at the No. 3 position. Sophomores Julien Roussel (7-3) and Stepan Siska (8-10) occupy the top two singles spots for the Lions.

Enke and Siska (8-3) comprise the team's top doubles duo. The Lion's No. 1 pair is currently ranked 76th in the nation among doubles tandems.

Mindaugas Celedinas leads UTA with a 10-7 singles record. In doubles play, Celedinas and Dmitry Minkin have paired for a 12-5 mark this spring.

Following Friday's match, Southeastern will head to Pensacola to face West Florida on Monday at 2 p.m.
