HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana junior
Katie Duhe was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VI Softball Team in an announcement from the CoSIDA office on Thursday.
Duhe, a Lutcher native, is an Academic All-District selection for the second straight season and as a first team choice is eligible for Academic All-America consideration. The Academic All-America team will be announced on May 26.
The Southland Conference was well represented on the team, as Duhe was joined on the first team by Nicholls senior designated player Audrey Wood. In all eight Southland student-athletes earned recognition, as Northwestern State sophomores Kelee Grimes and Samantha Roberts, as well as Stephen F. Austin senior Briana Bishop, Texas State senior Leah Boatright, Central Arkansas senior Sarah Garcia and McNeese State junior Lindsey Langner were all second team selections.

Dana Mayer (women’s soccer) and
Josh Cryer (baseball) were also honored as 4.0 students and Academic All-District selections in their respective sports.
