MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After concluding a season in which he finished among the Southland Conference leader in 10 categories, Southeastern Louisiana University shortstop
Justin Boudreaux was named Monday as a second-team member on the 2010 ABCA South Central All-Region team.
Boudreaux, a sophomore from Prairieville, was one of seven Southland Conference student-athletes named to the squad that is voted on among coaches in the Southland, Sun Belt and Conference USA.
Boudreaux, who was named a second-team All-Southland Conference selection and helped Southeastern to a 40-19 record, hit .313 for the Lions in 2010 with a team-high 13 home runs and a Southland Conference-best 66 RBI.
He was ranked in the top five in runs scored (3rd, 66), plate appearances (4th, 288), assists (3rd, 182) and fielding double plays (3rd, 41) and was sixth in home runs, stolen bases (6th, 17), hit by pitches (7th, 11), total bases (8th, 126) and walks (10th, 36).
Boudreaux, who was a quarterfinalist on the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award, is one of eight returning position starters for Southeastern in 2011.
