Eight Southeastern Games Slated For Television In 2010

Southeastern will play its most games on television since the 2003 season
Four live contests; all five home games on TV schedule

HAMMOND – A total of eight Southeastern Louisiana University football games during the 2010 season, including all five home contests, will be televised in an announcement by the Southeastern Department of Athletics.

Four contests, including home dates against Texas State and McNeese State for Homecoming, will be televised live with the remaining three home dates – against UT Martin (Sept. 11), Lamar (Sept. 18) and Northwestern State (Nov. 6) – being televised on a tape-delay basis by the Southeastern Channel.

Southeastern’s opener against Tulane, scheduled for Sept. 2 in the Superdome, will be televised on a tape-delay basis on WHNO-TV (Charter Cable Channel 14 in Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parish) with the New Orleans-based station also carrying the Lions’ Oct. 23 contest against in-state rival McNeese.

The Lions will appear on the Southland Conference Television Network three times in 2010 beginning with their league opener on Oct. 9 against Texas State. Southeastern will also appear on SLC TV in road games at Central Arkansas (Oct. 30) and Nicholls State (Nov. 18) in the annual River Bell Classic.
