HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University head football coach Mike Lucas will preview the 2010 season on Monday when he will appear at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, which kicks off its 72nd year.

The luncheon, which is scheduled for a noon start, will be at the Embassy Suites Hotel (315 Julia Street) in downtown New Orleans.

Lucas, who was the 2009 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year, will be joined by Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis of the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, Tulane head coach Bob Toledo, LSU Coordinator of Football Relations and long-time coach Charles Baglio and St. Augustine head football coach David Johnson.

Southeastern and Tulane will open the season on Sept. 2 when the teams collide in the Superdome in a 7 p.m. contest.

The Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club will meet every Monday through December 13, with the exception of Tuesday, September 7 (due to Labor Day).

Annual membership in the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club is $50. The cost of lunch is $15 for members and $20 for non-members and is open to all who are interested.
