HAMMOND – Three members of the Southeastern Louisiana University football team were recently named to the College Football Performance Awards D-I FCS Preseason Watch Lists.

Receivers Simmie Yarborough (Brookhaven, Miss.) and Brandon Collins (Brenham, Texas) along with kicker Seth Sebastian (Lafayette, La.) were among a group of 21 Southland Conference student-athletes chosen to the list.

Yarborough was named to the All-Southland Conference and All-Louisiana teams for the third straight year after leading the Lions with 60 catches and nine receiving touchdowns. He ranked among the Southland Conference leaders in receptions per game (6.0, 3rd), receiving yards per game (70.9, 6th), touchdowns (9, 5th) and scoring (54 points, 10th).

His single-season totals for receptions (3rd), receiving touchdowns (3rd), receptions per game (2nd), receiving yards (5th) and total touchdowns (10th) were all among the best in school history.

Collins finished second on the team with 56 catches for a team-high 875 yards in his first season with the Lions after transferring from Texas. Collins averaged 15.6 yards per catch and ranked among the Southland Conference leaders in receptions per game (5.1, 5th), receiving yards per game (79.5, 4th) and punt return average (6.8, 5th).

His single-season totals for receiving yards (2nd), receptions (6th) and receptions per game (7th) rank among the top performances in school history and the elusive receiver recorded a single-season, school-record four 100-yard performances.

Sebastian connected on 10 of 14 field goals and 27 of 28 point after attempts in his first season with the Lions. He finished third in the Southland Conference in field goals made, field goal percentage (71.4) and PAT percentage (96.4).

He went 3-for-3 on field goals against Northwestern State, including a season-long 47-yard field goal effort which was the third-longest field goal in school history. Sebastian converted on his final nine field goal and 15 PAT attempts on the year and heads into second season ranked among the school's career leaders in field goal percentage (2nd), PAT percentage (5th) and field goals made (7th).

Southeastern will report for fall camp on August 2 and will open the season Sept. 3 against Tulane in the Louisiana Superdome.
