HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana tennis team returns to action this week, competing in the UWF Fall Fling on the University of West Florida campus. The tournament runs Friday through Sunday.

Jason Hayes wants his young roster to continue showing improvement, building off an impressive showing at the season-opening Ragin' Cajun Classic.
“We feel like if we play to our potential, we can have a strong showing this weekend,” Hayes commented. “We've been working hard in practice and we can see improvement each time out. We want to continue that trend in Pensacola.”
The singles draw will feature two flights. Freshman
Nastya Tokareva (2-1 in fall singles play), freshman
Renee Villarreal (2-1), freshman
Sarah Kriem (2-1), sophomore
Adriana Castillo (2-1) and freshman
Reginka Nychytailova (1-2) will all compete in the top flight. Southeastern will be represented by sophomore
Morgane Charpenne (1-2) in the second flight.
The doubles draw will be one flight. Nychytailova and Kriem (3-0) will look to build on their flight title in the opening tournament of the fall. Castillo and Villarreal (2-1) will team, as will Charpenne and Tokareva (2-1). Senior
Isabel Brito will make her fall debut, teaming with unattached performer Camille Pilon in doubles play.
Following this weekend's action, the Lions will close out fall play at the USM Invitational on Oct. 26-28 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
