HAMMOND, La. – Team Grizz sent nine batters to the plate in the first inning, scoring four runs, and held off a late charge by the Rougaroux Sunday to win game two in the Heart of the Lion World Series, 6-4.

Down by three with one out in the top of the ninth, Kyle Cedotal doubled down the left-field line and moved to third on Alex Marse's single. Cedotal scored on a wild pitch and Marse moved up to second. Jameson Fisher drew a one-out walk. Jesse Buratt singled to load the bases, but Dylan Hills struck out Brett Hoffman and retired Sam Roberson on a fly ball to end the game.

Sean Kennel earned the win, allowing two runs over five innings of work, and Hills picked up his second save of the series. Rougaroux starter Buck Bernard suffered the loss.

Buratt went 4-for-5 at the plate for the Rougaroux while Marse and Fisher each picked up a pair of hits. Ben Hernandez had two hits for Team Grizz, including a first-inning, RBI triple, while Aaron Haag drove in a pair of runs.

The series continues Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Admission is free. Fans that can't make it out to the ballpark can watch the game on LionVision (subscription required) located in the fan zone of www.LionSports.net.
