Lady Lion Volleyball Inks Three In Early Signing Period

Bullock to enroll during spring

Lindsay Grace celevrates signing an NLI to play college volleyball at Southeastern
HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball coach Geno Frugoli announced the signing of three players to scholarship offers in the early signing period Monday.

“All three are great people and very energetic,” Frugoli said. “They love Southeastern and what we're about. I thought we needed another outside hitter option and some more blocking, so I believe they'll all be able to contribute.”

Landry Bullock, from Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas, led her team to a 29-10 overall record, including 21-4 in district. A first-team All-District player two years running, she was named the 13-5A District Co-Hitter of the Year as a senior. The six-foot middle blocker/outside hitter plans to enroll at Southeastern for the spring semester.

“She was the first one to commit,” Frugoli said. “Landry is a tough, scrappy hitter and I think that is missing from our team. She can play multiple positions and I think will be able to contribute on many different levels.”

Lindsay Grace, from Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri, led her team to an 18-12-3 regular season record and a Top-50 ranking in the state according to MaxPreps.com. The 6-foot-4 middle blocker recorded 197 kills (2.8 per set) on 451 attempts with a .370 attack percentage and chipped in 69 total blocks (1.0 per set) her senior season.

“Lindsay is from near where I was at UMKC,” Frugoli said. “She's a kid I was watching to see if she would develop and has. At 6-foot-4 with a left-hand swing, she creates a huge wall on the right side. In our conference there are so many good outside hitters she'll definitely help us.”

Parrie Hartley, from Columbus (HS), Texas, led her team to a 36-6 overall record and a perfect (12-0) record in district play. A second-team All-State player as a junior, she also competed in the high jump for the Columbus track and field squad. The 5-foot-11 outside hitter recorded 376 kills (3.7 per set), 47 service aces, 39 total blocks and 155 digs as a senior.

“She plays for a very good club and was overlooked a bit because she's farther out in Texas,” Frugoli said. “Parrie is crafty and skilled, an all-around outside; she's the kind of kid you can anchor a team around.”
