HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will open its home schedule on Saturday, facing William Carey at 1 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
The Lions (5-0) enter the match with an undefeated record this spring, having defeated Jackson State, Louisiana Tech, Grambling, Southern and Alcorn State to open 2013. William Carey (1-2) will be looking to even its 2013 record.
Five Southeastern players have undefeated records in singles play, as the team has posted a combined 26-3 record in singles play. Freshman
Nastya Tokareva leads the team with a 5-0 singles mark, while senior
Isabel Brito, freshman
Sarah Kriem and freshman
Renee Villarreal are 3-0. Sophomore
Adriana Castillo has a 1-0 record in singles play.

Reginka Nychytailova and junior
Valya Rusakova each have posted 4-1 singles records at the top half of the singles draws thus far this season, while sophomore
Morgane Charpenne is 2-1 on the year. In doubles play, four different Southeastern tandems have combined for a perfect 6-0 record.
William Carey has played all Division I competition thus far this season. The Lady Saders defeated Jackson State, but suffered losses at the hands of Jacksonville State and South Alabama.
Following Saturday's match, Southeastern will take an extended break before returning home to host Southern Miss at 6 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
