Feature on Jim McKay Postgraduate Scholarship winner Kati Morse part of 30-minute program

HAMMOND – This week's edition of the Southeastern Sports Report, presented by State Farm, can be seen beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m. on Cox Sports Television and 5:30 on WHNO-TV in New Orleans.

The 30-minute show, which features the Southeastern Athletic Department and its 15 Division I programs, is hosted by Allen Waddell and Athletic Director Bart Bellairs. The show is produced by the Southeastern Athletic Department and Creative Clips in Hammond.

The show begins with highlights of the Southeastern softball team's appearance in the Southland Conference Championships last week in Natchitoches where the Lady Lions lost twice to Sam Houston State while eliminating top-seeded McNeese State.

Southeastern softball player Kati Morse is also featured on the show after the Ponchatoula native was selected for the NCAA's Jim McKay Postgraduate Scholarship.

Highlights from the Southeastern baseball team's three-game series against Sam Houston State is also featured with a profile on the Lions' Senior Day ceremony.

The Southeastern golf team is also featured on the program as the Lions earned their seventh overall berth to the NCAA Regionals. Head coach Tim Baldwin, Southland Conference Freshman of the Year Eamon Bradley and Hammond native Grady Brame discuss the team's upcoming NCAA appearance that will begin on Thursday in the Baton Rouge Regional at The University Club.

Wrapping up the show is a feature on the Southeastern football team's annual Blood Drive that was held on May 2. Southeastern head football coach Ron Roberts and Matt Sullivan, Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations, discuss the importance of the drive.
