BATON ROUGE – Senior
Rhys West carded his third straight round of 3-over-par 75 to finish a stellar career while the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team finished 12th overall as the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional concluded on Saturday at The University Club.
West, who joined former Lions Francois Nicolas and
Philipp Westermann as the only golfers in school history to compete in three NCAA Regionals, finished tied for 24th overall at 225 in his final appearance for Southeastern. The Johannesburg, South Africa, native ranked fourth overall among the 75-player field in total holes of at least par (38), while ranking among the leaders in par-3 scoring (11th, 3.08, +1) and par-4 scoring (9th, 4.07, +2).

Eamon Bradley an 81.
“We hit too many walls this week on a very difficult golf course,” Southeastern head coach
Tim Baldwin said. “We had some good spurts at times, but we never could get into a rhythm to make a run. Despite that, I'm proud of the performance of our team down the stretch that helped us earn a Southland Conference championship and a berth to the NCAA Regionals.”
Bradley, who posted rounds of 73 and 76 after the first two days, finished tied for 40th overall at 230 while Allan was tied for 63rd at 238. Brame finished tied for 69th place in the field while Inderthal was tied for 72nd after posting rounds of 85 and 80.

Alabama's Scott Strohmeyer claimed medalist honors after carding a 3-under-par 69 to finish at 212 – two strokes ahead of teammate Bobby Wyatt, who fired a low round of 6-under 66.
