Celia Zaeringer was named female freshman of the year by the 2014 Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
Zaeringer , a New Orleans native, earned Southland Conference honorable mention honors after placing 12th at the conference meet. She went on to place 60th at the NCAA South Central Regional meet with a time of 22:01.6. During the season, the freshman picked up second place finishes at the Wolfpack Invitational and LSU relays and a third place finish at the Watson Ford Invitational. Zaeringer was also one of six student-athletes from Louisiana institutions named to the All-Louisiana Cross Country team.
Harry Wiggins was also named to the 2014 All-Louisiana Men's Cross Country Team.
The junior turned in the overall fastest time (15:13.68) at the Wolfpack Invitational, leading the men's team to a first place finish and earning him Southland Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors. Wiggins also turned in a time of 24:59.8, placing 20th overall at the Southland Conference Championships and placed 96th at 2014 NCAA South Central Cross Country Regional.
