NACOGDOCHES, Texas – All seven Southeastern Louisiana men set career bests while junior
Clarissa Smith recorded her best finish at the Southland Conference Cross Country Championships held at Pecan Acres Park Friday morning.
Both Southeastern squads came in 10
th place with the Lion men scoring 314 points and the Lady Lions 277. Lamar captured its fourth straight men's title with 43 points with Stephen F. Austin second with 62. McNeese (68), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (125) and Sam Houston State (131) rounded out the top five. Central Arkansas was sixth with 149 points and was followed by Houston Baptist (154), Incarnate Word (194) and Abilene Christian (243). New Orleans (327), Northwestern State (341) Nicholls (428) completed the field.
Stephen F. Austin placed five runners in the top 12 to take the women's title with 48 points, finishing well ahead of Sam Houston (106) and Lamar (110). Incarnate Word was fourth with 114 points and was followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (117), Central Arkansas (130), McNeese (152), Houston Baptist (191) and Abilene Christian (259). Northwestern State (316), Nicholls (363) and New Orleans (379) rounded out the field.

Grant O'Callaghan was the top finisher for the Lions in the men's 8K, coming in 55
th in 26 minutes, 13.7 seconds, over a minute better than his career best. Sophomore

th in 26:24.5, besting his previous top time by 1:30. Senior

Lamar's Evelyn Chavez won the individual title in 21:12.8, edging out Sam Houston's Ana Moreno (21:14.9).
The 2015 NCAA Cross Country South Central Regional will be hosted by the University of Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 11 at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Ark.
