HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will continue Southland Conference play on Wednesday, traveling to Nicholls for a 2 p.m. match at the Colonel Tennis Complex.
Both the Lions (3-4, 0-1 Southland) and the Colonels (5-2, 0-1 Southland) will be looking for their first conference victories of the season.
Southeastern will be playing its sixth straight match away from home when it heads down to Thibodaux. SLU has faced a daunting schedule over the past several weeks and will be looking to snap a four-match losing streak.
Juniors
Dalina Dahlmans and
Fleur Holtkamp have been the top players for Southeastern this spring. Each have three singles victories in dual match play and have paired for a team-best 4-3 record on the No. 1 doubles court.
Nicholls has won three straight matches heading into Southeastern's visit on Wednesday. Mariia Kozachok leads the Colonels with a 6-1 singles mark. In doubles play, Andrea Mastrippolito and Ambika Pande have paired for a team-best 3-0 record on No. 3.
Last season in Hammond, Southeastern closed out the regular season with a 6-1 victory over the visiting Colonels.
Following Wednesday's match, SLU will travel to New Orleans for a 2 p.m. Southland match at UNO on Saturday.
