2008 Outdoor (Freshman): Battled injuries during the outdoor season, but still qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regionals in his first collegiate outdoor meet with a 50 ft. 10.75 in. (15.51 m) leap in the triple jump to take first place at the Northwestern State Relays ... Also earned a regional berth in the long jump with a second-place leap of 24 ft. 1.5 in. (7.35 m) at the NSU Relays ... Claimed the Southland Conference triple jump title with a first-place leap of 51 ft. 7.0 in. (15.72 m) at the league meet, the best mark in the triple jump by any SLC athlete during the 2008 season ... Went on to finish eighth in the triple jump at his NCAA Regional debut with a 50 ft. 11 in. (15.52 m) leap ... Also placed 24th in the region with a (7.10 m) jump in the long jump at the NCAA Mideast Regionals ...
