Southeastern Lionettes
The Southeastern Louisiana University Lionettes will hold their annual tryouts April 25-26 in the Kinesiology Dance Studio. Click to download an application
The first part of the tryouts, which begin at 6 p.m., will consist of progressions across the floor focusing on turns, leaps, and jumps. The tryout will conclude the following day beginning at 9 a.m.
All applicants must fill out a tryout packet that includes frequently asked questions, tryout application form, a general code of conduct and an accident release form. All items, including a $10 tryout fee, attached photo and copy of transcripts, must be turned in to the coordinator prior to the first day of tryouts to be eligible to participate.

Varsity Basketball Band
The Lion Basketball Bands have been an intergral part of mens and womens basketball games for many years. Playing many traditional and high energy arrangements the band is a popular part of Lion Basketball. Membership in Lion Basketball band is open to anyone who is enrolled as a full time student at Southeastern. Scholarship money is available to members of the Lion Basketball Band.
Spirit of the Southland Marching Band
The "Spirit of the Southland" Marching Band made its return to Strawberry Stadium in 2004 with 80 members forming a pep-band for the 2003 inaugural season of Lion football.
The band has established itself as the center of spirit and pride at all Lion home games and game day events. In 2004 the band featured new uniforms, new instruments, and an unparalleled commitment to spirit and excellence. Membership in the "Spirit of the Southland" offers students a chance to continue their musical skills and be at the center of campus sporting events.
Membership in the "Spirit of the Southland" is open to anyone who is enrolled as a full time student at Southeastern. Information on auditions for colorguard and drumline can be found on the band's official website - Southeastern Bands Website . Scholarship opportunities are available to all members of the band.
