ELMWOOD, La. – Southeastern Louisiana dropped a pair of duals on the first day of action at the Green Wave Invitational at White Sands Volleyball Courts.
 
The Beach Lions (0-2) fell, 3-1, to Southland Conference-rival New Orleans (1-1) in the opening dual and then dropped another 3-1 decision later in the afternoon to Utah (1-1).
 
Playing the No. 2 flight, Hannah Barosh and Michelle Mirarchi picked up a 21-19, 19-21, 15-13 win over the Privateer duo of Ally Carr and Maxine Walsh.
 
Mikayla Richard and Meagan Scuderi (No. 1), Eryn Wilks and Linsey Sackett (No. 3), and Nylissa Snagg and Marisa Calvaruso (No. 4) each suffered setbacks against UNO. There was no matchup at No. 5 with both teams double-rostered for indoor this weekend.
 
In the second dual, Southeastern's No. 1 duo of Richard and Scuderi scored 21-17, 21-12 victory over Utah's Keana Smalls and Sage Patchell.
 
Barosh and Mirarchi (No. 2), Calvaruso and Sackett (No. 3), and Snagg and Wilks (No. 4) each dropped their matchups.
