HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team returns to action following an 11-day hiatus, participating in five duals at the SFA Invitational II in Nacogdoches, Texas.
 
Southeastern (2-7) is slated to face Mary Hardin-Baylor (3-7) at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by Hendrix (7-2) at 12 p.m. and host Stephen F. Austin (7-6) at 4 p.m. The Beach Lions will face Abilene Christian (1-5) at 8 a.m. Sunday followed by Central Arkansas (3-5) at 10 a.m. to wrap up their weekend competition.
 
Last time out, SLU dropped a pair of tight duals at home to Spring Hill by identical 3-2 scores.
 
The Beach Lions are led by the duo of Jolie Hidalgo and Meagan Scuderi. Hidalgo, a junior from Opelousas, Louisiana and Scuderi, a junior from Metairie, Louisiana, have combined to go 8-1 this season.
 
Since partnering up, the duo of Mabry Ward and Eryn Wilks are undefeated in five duals. Ward, a junior from Argyle, Texas and Wilks, a junior from Hammond, joined forces for the first time in Southeastern's win over Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern makes a trip just down the road to New Orleans, Louisiana for the UNO Invitational. The Beach Lions are slated to match up Thursday with both Nicholls and Spring Hill before wrapping up action Friday with North Florida and host UNO.
